What does the Church think about Bible codes? Are they a bunch of coincidences or are they inspired by God?

The Holy Scripture has one main message, which is the salvation that God, the lover of mankind, has prepared for the whole world. Therefore, the purpose of the Scripture is not to have secret messages or hidden codes. Having said this, we would not be surprised if we discover any supernatural messages in the Holy Scripture since it is the word of God. As for Bible codes, we can say this is an interesting study that is still under research, but we need to be careful in pursuing them.
