Q&A Home > R > Religion & Faith I apologize for my excessive questions/comments but as of lately because I have been getting so many different thoughts about the moment of death and what follows, according to the orthodox church in general, I have began to doubt the existence of God because of these contradictories/uncertainty. I have asked two Coptic priests, and they mentioned eternal life, but were very uncertain about the intermediate state. I have recently begun to view miracles as coincidences and that these occurrences do not necessarily correlate to God. I feel as if we as humans create religion as a source of comfort. In general, just the differences among the churches in Christianity makes me doubtful. Forgive me for disturbing you. Religion helps to explain life and its consequences after death. If you contemplate on the meaning of life, you will find Jesus Christ, the true God who is full of mercy, compassion, love, and justice. You will see Him gloriously in all His creation, different species, plants, and in every aspect of the universe, beautifully harmonized organisms with the most intricate details of divinely crafted systems. There are no coincidences here. Miracles strengthen one's faith and provide opportunity for repentance. Persons healing from illnesses or recovering from accidents will ultimately face death further down the road. Thus, the purpose of miracles is not just an extension of days, but an opportunity for real life in heaven, if one repents in time. This change can lead one to eternal life with Christ.
