After seeing this video, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IAhDGYlpqY&sns=fb, I am perplexed. I thought that religion is a set of beliefs in accordance to our faith so how can a person love Jesus and hate religion at the same time?
I apologize for my excessive questions/comments but as of lately because I have been getting so many different thoughts about the moment of death and what follows, according to the orthodox church in general, I have began to doubt the existence of God because of these contradictories/uncertainty. I have asked two Coptic priests, and they mentioned eternal life, but were very uncertain about the intermediate state. I have recently begun to view miracles as coincidences and that these occurrences do not necessarily correlate to God. I feel as if we as humans create religion as a source of comfort. In general, just the differences among the churches in Christianity makes me doubtful. Forgive me for disturbing you.
Please explain the difference between religion and faith, if there is any? If there is a difference, is it the one religion that leads to everlasting life? If Jesus founded the Coptic religion, who gave it its name? It is not Jesus, is it?
