A youth at our church is having a difficult time finding her place in the Church--so much so; that she is considering visiting other churches. Nothing seems to help her feel close to God. In spite of her claim that she prays and reads the Holy Bible; she doesn't have connection to the Coptic Church in general. Her views are different from the Church's. I do not know how to help her; and at the same time I do not want to give up on her. Does your Grace have any suggestions?
I have a high school student (very active) and a leader to two other boys. I want to bring that leader to God so he can be a good influence on two other boys and of course for himself. This boy loves football and he comes to church, but not regularly as he should. If and when he comes, I believe the main reason are his friends and not God. I think his friends in school are a bad influence on him. I can see it from his facebook. The other two boys are both deacons, but I am afraid that we are going to lose them. There is an activity started in the church every Wednesday and I believe that will be a good chance to use that time to do something to get him involved.
Please share with me some ideas on how to keep our high school teenagers preoccupied with spiritual things?
What is a way to respond to controversial questions, discussing strategies to prevent youth that get puzzled about issues, and how to absorb questions and answer them?
