Is it possible for Satan to read our minds?

Satan cannot read our minds nor can he tell the future. He is clever enough to instigate thoughts if we are not guarded. His steps are numbered and he does not move at liberty, but must ask permission from God. Though God is kind and merciful and tries to help us, we have to exercise our free will to not allow ourselves to fall for Satan's tricks.

“And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren” (Luke 22:31-32).
