Can you explain this verse? "He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord" (Proverbs? 18:22, NRSV).

The family is a small church. Though the husband is the head of the family, the wife is the heart. The union of a godly husband and a godly wife produces godly children. This is a great blessing and has always been God's intention and joy from the beginning (read Genesis 1,2). The Book of Proverbs is part of the Poetic Books and has a linguistic prose and reflective style. Thus, this passage teaches us that men and women should not just desire to marry, but should search and pray for a godly spouse for a Holy Matrimony.
