I wish to share with you this very important and interesting article: Bridges For Peace Your Israel Connection: Vol. # 770801 August 2010. It concerns our support, spiritually and boldly for Israel, according to the Bible. “Then Jerusalem shall be holy, And no aliens shall ever pass through her again. And it will come to pass in that day that the mountains shall drip with new wine, The hills shall flow with milk, And all the brooks of Judah shall be flooded with water; A fountain shall flow from the house of the Lord and water the Valley of Acacias. Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom a desolate wilderness, because of violence against the people of Judah, for they have shed innocent blood in their land. But Judah shall abide forever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation. For I will acquit them of the guilt of bloodshed, whom I had not acquitted; for the Lord dwells in Zion” (Joel 3:11-21).

There is no doubt that the Lord desires to keep His promise to our father Abraham and to David the prophet and to welcome all the children of Israel into His fold. While God's love is unconditional, His promise was never unconditional. Throughout all the prophecies, the conditional covenant is clear, If...., then..... There is a contingency and there is accountability on the part of the children of Israel to return to God. The only way to do that is through Christ. There is no other way to God, but through Christ.

Christians' political views should always be working toward peace. It is not simply a matter of whatever a nation says or does that means all should support its policies only because God made a promise with Abraham and David. For their own good, God often turned away from the children of Israel when they strayed and when they caused others to do the same. However, when they returned back to Him, He accepted them readily. Many of the Jews remained stubborn in their ways and boldly asserted their justification based on their position as the children of Abraham. Christ rejected this erroneous belief. Abraham had faith and believed in God and died in peace in anticipation of the coming of the Messiah, Christ (Hebrews: 11:13-16). Where is this faith in the Jews today?

There will be many Jews who will indeed accept Christianity before the Second Coming. However, many until then will have lost their eternal life with God by not accepting Christ when they had the chance to do so. You need no look much further than Christ's own disciples and the first apostles. These men were Jews, so was Joseph or Arimathea and Nicodemus, and many others. Many more have and will continue to find Salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are now living in the 1,000 year reign. It is time for the Jews to seize the opportunity and to return once again to God through our Lord Jesus Christ. This, we must learn from the thief at the right, to seize every opportunity and every breath to repent and return to Christ.

The verse quoted from Joel 3:11-21 pertains to Christ. It is Christ who sanctified Jerusalem, its mountains, hills, and waters. The threat is on the shoulders of the violent who oppress the children of God. His children are no longer only the Jews of the former days, but the Christians, the new former Jew and the new Gentile, who accept Christ as God and follow Him with all their hearts.
