Are we always going to be on Israel’s side and supporting them? Israel is God’s land and all supporters of Palestine are going to be punished according to God's word.
I wish to share with you this very important and interesting article: Bridges For Peace Your Israel Connection: Vol. # 770801 August 2010. It concerns our support, spiritually and boldly for Israel, according to the Bible. “
Then Jerusalem shall be holy, And no aliens shall ever pass through her again. And it will come to pass in that day that the mountains shall drip with new wine, The hills shall flow with milk, And all the brooks of Judah shall be flooded with water; A fountain shall flow from the house of the Lord and water the Valley of Acacias. Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom a desolate wilderness, because of violence against the people of Judah, for they have shed innocent blood in their land. But Judah shall abide forever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation. For I will acquit them of the guilt of bloodshed, whom I had not acquitted; for the Lord dwells in Zion
” (Joel 3:11-21).
In the Old Testament we read about Israel. Who exactly was Israel?
What is the Coptic Orthodox position on the land of Israel? Is it against Zionism or do we believe that this land is for the Jews?
What is the Orthodox church's view concerning the Old testament prophetic status of Israel and its being the land of the Jews? The Holy Book of Hosea 9:10, Holy Book of Joel 1:7 and Holy Gospel of St. Mathews 24:32 are often quoted to support the argument. How do we know for sure that Israel is the fig tree? The argument goes further to reiterate that the entire world is going to persecute Israel and Jerusalem, leading subsequently to the return of our Lord Jesus Christ to set up his earthly kingdom where he will rule as King of the Earth! "And in that day I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for ALL people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though ALL the people of the earth be gathered against it". Does this make any sense?
