How true it was that the Oriental Orthodox once observed the Sabbath?? 

The Church never observed the Sabbath as the Day of the Lord, but since the Lord blessed the seventh day, the Church till now observes the 7th day in a special way (but not like Sunday, the Lord’s Day). We do not abstain on Saturday or make prostrations on the Sabbath. In addition, usually, in the rites and hymns of the Church, the Sabbath follows Sunday and not the rest of the weekdays.
