What about if the mother is past the age of having kids but gets pregnant? Let us say she is in her 40's or 50's and she is now at a huge risk. Would the Church consider an abortion?

An older woman that gets pregnant is in a high-risk group but not in huge risk. There are many women who have children in this age group of 40–50 without any complications. If she fears that the child will have any developmental defects, she needs to pray to God to give her strength, wisdom, and resources to care for this child. If she cannot, then adoption is an alternative for her, but not abortion.

People need to understand that abortion is murdering an unborn child, whom God, the Giver of Life, has created and formed in His image. No one has the right to end the life of anyone, let alone an innocent child.
