Q&A Home > P > Prayer > Prayer Book I was curious if one might be able to use the Old Orthodox Prayer Book in their personal practice/worship, or if the Coptic Orthodox Church has a similar text for worshipers? I understand that the former text is Russian Orthodox and, therefore, may or may not be suitable. Still I would like to know for sure before proceeding. The Old Orthodox Prayer Book is similar to our Agpeya [Book of the Hours], which is available in your Coptic Reader App, and hard copies can easily be purchased for minimal cost. In general, there is a vast amount of spiritual literature, from contemporary authors, laymen, clergy, as well as ancient patristics. It is best to seek your spiritual father's guidance regarding how to progress in your spiritual readings, as he is most aware of what is suitable for you at your current spiritual level.
