Is rape considered sin before God for the victim that was raped?

In no way should a rape victim be blamed or accused of committing a sin due to this kind of violent encounter. Rape is not just about sex, but it is an act of violence. The perpetrator is accountable and requires discipline and perhaps sanctions. The Church will also not interfere should the victim choose to press charges against the rapist.
