I was asked by my Sunday School kids if we have a blessing of animals in our Coptic Orthodox Church, and if not, why?

During the Divine Liturgy in the Coptic Orthodox Church, we offer prayers for all of God's creation—humans, animals, vegetation, the rivers, etc. When the priest prays the Litany of the Waters, the deacon recites the following response:

"Pray for the rising of the waters of the rivers this year, that Christ our God may bless them and raise them according to their measure, that He may give joy to the face of the earth, sustain us, the sons of men, save the cattle, and forgive us our sins."
