Christ, in John 15:1-8, continuously states, "Abide in Me." What is meant by this? How does he want us to abide in Him?

When our Lord Jesus Christ tells us to abide in Him is to reveal His love for us and the special bond we have with Him as our Father. God's children have a special close relationship with Him, whereby His will, word, teachings, mannerism, and goals become ours as well, as His loving children, disciples, and servants. If we do not abide in Him, then we are just distant observers, which is unfulfilling. However, if we abide in Him, He will abide in us, as He promised us.
