What's the purpose of reading the Pauline epistles? How are they important?

Each Divine Liturgy in the Coptic Orthodox Church includes five readings. These are: the Pauline Epistle, the Catholic Epistle, the Acts of the Apostles (Praxis), the Synaxarium, and the Holy Gospel. All the readings provide an opportunity for biblical and theological instruction and meditation. St. Paul wrote more than one half of the New Testament (14 epistles) and helped in the formation and establishment of the rites of the early Church. The Pauline letters contain significant doctrinal emphasis and spiritual guidelines that address many issues.
