I have found reference to a Christmas Fast of 43 days, presumably ending on (or before) Christmas? Is that right?

In the Coptic Orthodox Church we fast 43 days before the Holy Nativity, starting on November 25th and ending on January 7th (The Glorious Feast of Nativity).
