What would you do if you have great discrimination at work? For example, they promote the people who came after you and don’t have a degree, you have a very good evaluation from your supervisor. How would you overcome this “bitterness” and “unfairness” that you feel?

There is a time for everything. If a promotion is in your best interest, know that God will not deny you this position. The timing is in God's hands. In the Lord's Prayer, we ask for God's will to be done. Thus, we cannot become angry and bitter when His will is not our will, or when His will does not meet our expectations, or when His will is not at our desired time. His will is always, not only good for you, but it is the best for you. This does not mean that you cannot be assertive and make a statement to your supervisors regarding this matter, but you ought to be cautious that when you do, you have truly set aside petty anger so you may have a logical discussion without your emotions interfering. Try to see the good in everything and do your best at everything. There is a lot of injustice in the world, so we must develop a Christ-like approach to these injustices. Be content with what you have. Do your best at it, and no one will be able to deny that this Christian individual performed each task with the utmost integrity. This is a far better title and the reward is greater in heaven. Your reaction to setbacks is a lesson for yourself and for others. Whatever you do, do it for God; and whatever you do not do, then give it up for God. Do your best with the talents which God has given you. He is our goal and our joy. He did not place you in your current position so that you can move up the ladder and only excel at your profession. Be patient with yourself and learn the many lessons prepared for you along the way. These lessons, will in no doubt, edify you throughout the way and bring you closer to God. Therefore, you will not only grow in your profession with solid knowledge and aptitude, but you will also grow spiritually. Humble yourself before the Lord so you may hear these words from Him.

"Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter the joy of your Lord" (Mt Matthew 25:23).
