The Christian attitude towards TV and similar resources is gratitude to God who has been gracious to provide us with tools and equipment to aid us in our work, study, and spiritual endeavors. However, television has become, to many people including Christian families, the most attractive and authoritative member of the family. Families sit around the television, without communicating. They quit reading, do not engage in physical exercise, etc., because of its hypnotizing effect. Many adults, parents, youth, and children have surrendered passively to its overwhelming depiction of immorality and corruption. The television has desensitized the global culture and created a passive addiction. Be therefore extremely cautious what you watch and how much you watch. Be honest with yourself regarding the motive with which you intend to watch TV.
