I am a layman from the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. I was born and raised in the Church, but realized how I trusted the Church on the basis of being born in the faith. I want to seek the truth of reality and know where I can find it. I understand that I have to pursue, but where do I start? Where do I look? What resources do I need to gather or what topics do I have to uncover? How do I overcome my biases?

This is a very important time in your life. The Holy Bible and many spiritual books and digital literature are readily available. However, prayer and fellowship through the Divine Liturgy are equally valuable. Thus, you must begin by discipleship under the guidance of a priest that will become your spiritual father, confession father, and mentor.
