I am interested to know the Holy Synod's view on the use of Coptic traditional hymns during the church services.

His Holiness Pope Shenouda and the Holy Synod emphasize the importance of using the Coptic Language in the Liturgies. In the annual seminar with the priests in Boston, North America  last year, His Holiness spoke about the Coptic Tradition and how we should keep it alive in  the US.

Keeping this in mind, we should also understand the importance of praying in the native language of the country we are living in; otherwise we will loose the new generations and the converts.

So we need to be sensitive to the needs of every member in the church during this transitional period.
