How can you preach Christianity without turning people off religion, e.g., like not wanting to watch a movie in the cinema because you know it does not edify? You can't say, I don't want to watch this movie because it is evil, especially if your partner wants to go with other people?

“God is love” (1 John 4:8). Preaching Christianity begins with speaking the language of love. Love is not merely an emotion, but it is action (1 Corinthians 13). Declining to participate in inappropriate settings, and preferring to be engaged in a spiritually edifying environment does not require many words or long sermons. Imitate Jesus Christ. He set consistent examples for us to learn from Him how to win souls. With every person He purposed to meet in His ministry, He set an example of Christian conversation and humility, not only for the estranged from a life of edification, but also the marginalized by all of society: Zacchaeus, the Samaritan woman, the woman caught in adultery. These encounters reveal Jesus Christ's gentle approach of speech with the outcasts--though their status as outcasts was the result of their own doing. "Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one" (Colossians 4:6).
