Do we know for a fact where Judas ended up? Did he go to hell or heaven or is that unknown?

The Holy Scripture reveals that Judas committed suicide by hanging himself (read Matthew 27:1-10). Thus, he committed the sin of murder against himself and could never have an opportunity to repent for this sin. St. John refers to Judas as the "son of perdition," which alludes to the damnation of Judas. St John quotes the Lord Jesus Christ regarding the fate of Judas, saying: "While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled" (John 17:12).
