How can I learn to love and give God all my life? How can I attain humility, and live the assurance that nothing can separate me from Him?

Communion with the Lord is a union of the most intimate kind, enjoyed by Christians with God and with each other in the Church. This special type of communion with the Lord is especially realized in the Mystery of the Holy Eucharist. Two of the most familiar Holy Scriptures, which speak to this type of communion, are in the Holy Gospel of St. John 6:56 and the Holy Epistle of St. Paul I Corinthians 10:16,17.

What is this love you are seeking and how is it manifested? Charity, union, affection, friendship, unselfish concern for another's welfare, the love of Christians one for the other and for the world in which they live is a reflection of the love between the three persons of the Holy Trinity. The Holy Gospel of St. John 11:3,36, the Holy Book of I Corinthians 13, and the Holy Book of I John 4:8,16 all speak of love.

The heart is the spiritual center of one's being. The transformation of the heart is accomplished through the work of God's saving Grace. Please read the Holy Gospel of St. Matthew 5:8, the Holy Gospel of St. Luke 6:45, and the Holy Gospel of St. John 7:38.

Your question regarding humility is an often asked question and has been addressed in the Questions and Answers link of the Southern Diocese website under "Humility".
