The Holy Book of Deuteronomy 22:13-30 talks about laws of sexual morality and evidence of virginity, could you please comment on their practices?

As part of their sex organs, females have a membrane called hymen which is intact but which gets physically torn when a woman first engages in sex. The presence of this membrane intact is therefore important as a physical evidence of virginity. This custom was and still is practiced in some countries, that on the wedding night, the blood resulting from tearing the hymen during the first sexual intercourse, is collected on a piece of cloth as an evidence of the girl's virginity, and a proof to those who would have any doubt. This ordeal is a matter of family honor.
