Please tell me how to get close to God, since I keep hearing voices telling me there is no hope for me. My life is really so miserable because I no more have Peace in my life. I tried to pray but I always go back and stop praying, my tongue and my thoughts are in the bad stuff.

Sometimes we feel we are drifting away and cannot be the person we want to be. This is common.
Do not feel you are the only one struggling. St. Paul himself said "For the flesh lusts against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish" (Gal 5:17). Do not lose hope but know that your main weapon is prayer. Try to pray about it and force yourself to pray when Satan sways you to give up. Ask God Almighty to help you get closer to Him. Keep repeating to yourself "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Phil 4:13). If you keep on praying and reading the word of God, you are actually arming yourself against Satan (Eph 6:13-18). Remember what David the prophet says, "Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the Lord" (Ps 31:24).

By God's standards for our lives, we all fall short. But we are assured that we are not struggling alone. If you ask of the Lord, be confident that He is at work in you to help you desire and attain His standard and purpose for your life "For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure" (Phil 2:13).
