What was the purpose of the Lord Jesus Christ eating with His disciples after His resurrection?

He condescended to convince them that He was indeed alive. He was offering proof by taking a piece of broiled fish and honey and eating it in their presence. He condescended to the eleven disciples’ weakness and doubts.
