How do we know that the relics of martyrs in our church are real and what do we say when people outside our religion, ask about it?

The proof of a relic's authenticity would make skeptics cringe because it comes down to Church tradition and faith. The Church authenticates relics after it investigates where the relic is from, its class, and its historic background. We must admit that there can be some room for error. Sometimes there may be solid evidence that a particular relic is real, but sometimes we must rely on strong probabilities. So true is the authenticity of those relics that it becomes absurd to doubt or question it. Some relics have been associated with healing miracles. Those miracles resembled in mode the healing miracle performed by Jesus Christ for the woman with the bleeding problem. The miracle anchored on two factors: faith on the side of the woman and the healing power that existed in the garment which was transmitted by touching the garment, the Lord Jesus Christ said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you" (Mk 5:25-34).
