The confusion comes from the fact that the word in Arabic is plural, al-abkar, while in Coptic, it is singular (starts with "pi" not "ni"... according to the Coptic Reader App).
- Why is it that in the third canticle, we say things such as bless the Lord O sun, moon, clouds, snow, heat etc. How can non living things bless the Lord?
