In the eighth part of the Theotokia we say the following: "Hail to you Mary, the salvation of our father Adam, etc." Again, I understand what the church is trying to say, but how can this be said without being theologically incorrect? If someone came from another church and saw this without understanding, I could see how they would think we are worshiping St. Mary or attributing salvation to her. Isn't she a "gateway" or a "door" to the salvation of Adam, etc.?
In the Midnight Praises we say "and also Your poor servant Sarkis, make him without condemnation, that we may join all those and say praise Him and exalt Him above all." Who is Sarkis?
Who is Sarkis that is mentioned in the last verse of Aripsalin? Is it necessary to include this verse in the hymn?
