Is investing your money into the stock market considered gambling?

Investing in the stock market is a kind of gambling. To benefit from the stock market you have to follow it very closely daily and be alert to when is the right time to buy or sell. This conflicts with Christianity since you will have to worry daily about your investment and watch the market performance when the Lord said it clearly, "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also" (Mt 6:21). I think it is better for you to invest in something not as volatile as the stock market like long term investment through the banks or other financial institutions.
