I have two questions:
There is a lot of controversy concerning the hymn "O Kyrios" regarding the words and their spiritual and dogmatic significance. Could you please clarify?
"He is Lord, the Father Who speaks with heavenly truth, and He Who resembled our humility, and the Holy Spirit." How did the Father resemble us in our humility?
Is the hymn, "Night of the Last Supper" or
"layl el 3asha el serry"
acceptable to be sung during the distribution of the Eucharist in the annual season of the Church? Some say it is just a song and is unacceptable.
What do the words of the hymn "Nicavev" in the presence of a bishop or pope signify?
What is the purpose of "hymns and spiritual songs"? Why is it an important part of our spiritual life?
What makes Coptic hymns with the use of the triangle and cymbals unique compared to other Christian hymns?
Who is "Theodosios" mentioned in the chant "oo-ran en-shoo-shoo"?
Why do we sing the hymn "Niethnos teero" during the reception of priests?
Would you allow a Deacon's Coptic hymnology Competition to take place in your Diocese? I understand that we do not learn hymns to show off. However, don't you think that an annual event such as this would promote the spread of hymnology amongst the youth?
