In the breath of life, among other things, was the Holy Spirit given to Adam and Eve? Was the Holy Spirit taken away from humanity when humanity sinned? After His Baptism, did Christ re-receive the Holy Spirit as a man because the Holy Spirit was taken away from humanity when humanity sinned? If so, is there any biblical reference of this? Is there any Patristic reference?

The Holy Trinity, God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit are ever existing and without separation. God breathed life in Adam-the breath of life. St. Cyril of Alexandria says that this breath of life was the Holy Spirit but other Church Fathers say this was not the Holy Spirit. In the Old Testament, the Holy Spirit accompanied many of the righteous and prophets, and could depart from them as what happened with Saul when he was disobedient (cf. Samuel 16:14). However, in the New Testament, the Christian who is baptized according to the rites of the Church, receives the Holy Spirit to dwell in him or her. The Lord Jesus Christ remained God the Word, the Son, before and after His incarnation. The Theophany [Epiphany] was for us to witness the Holy Trinity and the manifestation of God by the voice of God the Father, the presence of God the Son, and the descent of the Holy Spirit as a dove. Thus, following our baptism, which is based on the faith of the adult being baptized or the child according to the faith of the parents, the Holy Spirit descends upon us and dwells in us.
