Why in 2 Kings 2:11 does it say that Elijah was caught in a chariot of fire up to heaven when in John 3:13 the Lord Jesus Christ claims that no one has ascended to heaven except the Son of Man?

Heaven has multiple meanings. "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth" (Genesis 1) indicating different heavens. Sometimes it refers to the physical sky. Other interpretations can refer to a realm in space over the earth. Heaven can also refer to Paradise, and heaven can also be God's throne and abode.

Thus, the connection of all these meanings pronounces heaven to be a spiritual presence above the supernatural where God dwells. Where the prophet Elijah was taken to a heaven unidentified (2 Kings 2:11) is not the same heaven from where our Lord Jesus Christ descended and to where He ascended because He is the only one that is said to have descended from and ascended to this heaven as mentioned in John 3:13. The third heaven where the apostle Paul was taken (2 Corinthians 12:2-4) is also different from the heaven from where our Lord descended and to where He ascended.
