Could you please explain the Holy Gospel of St. Mark 7:27-29?

"Yes Lord, I know it is true that the children’s bread..."
Actually our Lord wanted to establish a number of truths before the miracle took place:
He wanted to make sure that the woman knew that she was not a Jew, that He came primarily for the Jews, his children, and God’s chosen people. But at the same time, there is hope for the non-Jewish.

He wanted an open manifestation of humility which is prerequisite for the task he was about to undertake for her sake.  He openly referred to her as being an alien, on a lower rank than the Jews. She humbly acknowledged and accepted that.

He knew how strong her faith was, but he wanted an open declaration from her in order to justify the miracle for a non-Jew, a gentile in this case. That was a faith test for the woman. She with great humility had passed it very successfully.

By saying “first", He did not close the door completely at her face, but left it ajar, thus giving himself a chance to introduce the truth that he, in fact, came for all. In utter humility and obedience, the woman accepted to be categorized as a second-class citizen in the kingdom of God eating only crumbs fallen from master’s tables.

In the end He granted her the long –awaited- for miracle, the healing of her daughter. He also praised her for the unique quality of her faith which was not displayed among his chosen people of Israel, for whom he had specifically come to heal and save.
