What is the Church's view on the new special lab technique that enables parents to choose their baby's gender?

A child's gender is chosen by God alone and for his will and purpose. The Holy Gospel, according to St. Luke, records that when the angel Gabriel announced the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ to the Blessed Virgin, he proclaimed to her that she would have a Son. Again the same angel deliberately revealed to Zachariah, the priest, the birth of St. John the Baptist. Isaac, the son of promise, was declared to Abraham in Genesis 18:10. To intrude on this divine decision would be a disruption to God's will and to His structuring of nature.
