Can we say that faith grows through doubt? For example, didn't Abraham doubt God by taking matters into his own hands and fathering a child with Hagar...yet we call him the father of many nations and the friend of God?
How can one know if they are trusting God or not? If not, how does one learn how to do that?
How do I strengthen my trust in God and faith in Christianity?
I am not doing well spiritually. Although I attend the church services, read the Holy Bible, and listen to spiritual songs regularly, yet I do not feel any spiritual consolation, and my faith is growing weaker everyday. Can you please help?
I try to ask God or one of his saints to appear before me and to see them with my physical eyes. I prayed for the past week to see Him physically, but there was no response. What can I do about this?
Why do good things happen to those who don't even believe in God? This person is about to take a very important exam for his career and I had encouraged him to pray for God to help him. His reply was, "why is it that people of other cultures and faiths are passing with flying colors, whereas for me, who is a Christian, is struggling? Does God make us weaker so that we need His help to pass or does He help them pass even though they deny Him?” I know that through the grace of God and His Holy Spirit, we are not weak but strong and our strength is only from Him. But, why is it that, as a generalization, many non-Christians are so successful professionally?
"
For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame
" (Hebrews 6:4-6). Does it mean that if someone was to lose their way and change their religion that he/she can't repent and confess and come back into the Coptic Orthodox belief? If not, what can that person do?
"All things whatever you ask in prayer believing, you will receive" (Matthew 21:22). What does this verse mean?
"Blessed are those who believed without seeing." Why is it a blessing to believe without seeing?
