• According to our church doctrine, is exorcism a spiritual gift or have all been granted this power?
• How do the Copts view exorcism performed by Non-Christians? What distinguishes true Christian exorcism from the so-called exorcism of other faith walks?
• I have a question regarding Matthew 7:22: “Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’" Does this mean that some people that cast out devils in Jesus's name won't be welcome into the kingdom of God? Can you give me an example of an individual that casts out devils in the name of Jesus Christ that won't make it to heaven? I have a very hard time understanding this.
• There is an Ethiopian orthodox father who exorcises. I am not sure whether the Ethiopian Orthodox Church acknowledges him or not. He is so popular in to Ethiopian believers. My friend once gave me a CD of him exorcising, In that video, you can hear the people (demons) answering they were with that person since he/she was born and transferred to him from his/her father or mother. I did not believe it for it contradicted what I learned about the Sacraments in Sunday school classes. How can this be orthodoxy? My friend has been watching CDs of this father many times, and he believes in it.
